24-channel logic analyzer.
A test instrument that reads digital signals. Our engineers in Shenzhen designed and built it, from board and firmware to enclosure and packaging, and delivered the batch.
What it cost
- Development fee
- $800, one time
- 15 units at $20
- $300
- Total, delivered
- $1,100
Most of the money went into development: about 73% of the total. Spread over 15 units, it added about $53 to each analyzer, more than the $20 the unit itself cost.
Not in the total
- Certification
- It did not go through FCC or CE. Certification is quoted separately when a product needs it.
- Shipping and duties
- Not in the price. The customer usually arranges freight once the units leave the factory.
- Extras
- Tutorials, training or a live demo are priced on top.
Ordering more
The $20 is the price for this batch of 15 and should not be stretched to 100 or 1,000 units. A larger batch is priced for its own quantity.
