Can one company build the electronics, firmware, enclosure and the app?
Yes for the software that runs and controls the device. Anvol's engineers built a Bluetooth Android app with a six-legged robot ($5,000 development, reference), a Wi-Fi mobile app with a ROS 2 robot and a browser editor for an LED board, each together with the board, firmware and enclosure.

Apps we built with the device
| Build | The app | Talks over | Development (reference) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Six-legged robot | Android app for remote control, mode switching, action selection and parameter tuning | Bluetooth | $5,000, 20 days |
| ROS 2 omnidirectional robot | Mobile control app; the robot runs Ubuntu and ROS 2 on a Raspberry Pi 4B | Wi-Fi | $4,500, 18 days |
| LED pixel board | React web editor with live preview and AI-made animations, exported to the board as device code | Export from the browser | About $1,700, about 10 days |
| AI voice companion | Wi-Fi setup from a phone browser; the device uses an existing cloud speech and language service | Wi-Fi | $1,200, about 10 days |
| Small dynamic robot dog | Its own programming tool: one-click configuration and upload, visual programming, tuning and remote control | Wi-Fi, serial | $8,000, 30 days |
| Lidar line-following car | App and remote control modes | Bluetooth | Delivered: 10 cars, $6,500 in total |
| Underwater ROV | Qt ground station for Windows and Linux with live video; the ROV runs Linux on an RK3566 | 4G, UDP | $30,000, 2 months |
Reference figures are our engineers' numbers for a similar build, not invoices or quotes. Only the lidar car is a delivered price.
If you already have an app
We build the device to talk to it over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and hand over the firmware source with the protocol and API notes, so your app team works against a written interface instead of guessing.
What we have not shown here
- iPhone apps
- None of the builds above lists one.
- A consumer app in the app stores
- With user accounts, payments and store listings. If that is the core of your product, say so in your first message so it is scoped before any price.
- Android as the device's operating system
- Our devices that run an operating system run Linux: Ubuntu on a Raspberry Pi, Linux on an RK3566.
Why one team helps
The board, firmware and app decide each other's limits: which radio, how fast data moves, what the battery can afford, what happens when the connection drops. With one team, those calls are made once. With several suppliers, you are the one carrying them between people.
